Agroextractivismo: La nueva cara del imperialismo en el sector agrícola de América Latina
Resumen
El término agroextractivismo se ha convertido en sinónimo de agricultura de planificación de monocultivos a gran escala, controlada por las corporaciones. El objetivo de esta nota conceptual es aclarar las dinámicas extractivistas en el contexto actual del proceso de desarrollo capitalista tal como se están desarrollando en el sector agrícola. El artículo examina el desarrollo del agroextractivismo como marco conceptual, fenómeno histórico y característica de la economía política contemporánea del cambio agrario en América Latina. Luego reflexiona brevemente sobre las posibles contribuciones de las luchas de tierra a las alternativas post-extractivistas basadas en parte en la política de soberanía alimentaria. El articulo concluye evaluando las implicaciones más amplias del agroextractivismo para nuestra comprensión de la cuestión agraria en el siglo XXI.
